Hey, everyone! Whew- it's been a while since I've done one of these! I probably won't do one every week, but I'll try my best to get one in at least every two weeks. IMWAYR is hosted by Kathry @ Book Date Here's what I've been reading this week: I finished reading " The Gene " by Siddhartha Mukherje . It's a non-fiction about the evolution of the study of genetics. It took me a really long time to get through this one! I started reading " India After Gandhi" by Ramchandra Guha . The book is a comprehensive history of post-independence India. Normally, this period is considered a part of the present, never studied in classes- or even colleges. This one is also going to take a while! For some lighter reading, I've picked up "Ask the Passengers " by A.S. King , I'm currently reading this one. I know I'm not very consistent with these posts- but I figured that since I had some things to update you on, I might as well participate. School just ended, so I'm going to have a lot more time to read (and blog!), which is why I'm hoping to be more consistent with these posts. Okay, here goes: This week I finished reading Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly, a fabulous book about World War II. It's the story of 3 ladies (Polish, German and American ) that intertwine into a great novel. Look out for my review soon- and pick up this book! I also finished reading "Origin" by Dan Brown. The latest installment in his "Robert Langdon" series, this one knocked my socks off! I finished the book in less than 24 hours- not usual for a 400+ pages novel- and desperately wanted more! Hey guys! I'm linking up with Kathryn @ Book Date once again to update you all on my week. I had quite a good reading week. I finished two review books and started a third one (the last one that's been approved). I also finished a light read in between. Hopefully next week I'll have time to pick up The Dream Thieves, the second book in the Raven Cycle Trilogy I finished "Blood and Ink" by Stephen Davies.  It was quite an interesting take on radicalism and terrorism in Africa. I also finished reading "The 12 Dares of Christa" by Marissa Burt. I loved it so much- it's a great middle grade book. I devoured Allie Carter's Heist Society in one or two sittings. It was the perfect, light-hearted book to separate the two review books.  I'm currently reading "Far From the Tree" by Robin Benway. Hey guys! I've had a busy few days. My sister just left for college for the first time- so naturally our house was a mess! I'm linking up with Kathryn @ Book Date to update you all on my reading. I finished reading a review book "Neighborhood Girls" by Jessie Ann Foley. I absolutely loved it- the review will be coming out sometime in early September. I didn't finish anything else this week, but I did start reading another review book."Blood and Ink" by Stephen Davies is a story of teen radicalization.  I began reading a light, non-review book "Heist Society" by Ally Carter. This week has been quite busy- but I'm happy to say I still managed to get in a decent amount of reading. I'm linking up with Kathryn @ Book Date to update you all on my reading week. I finished reading a review book by Michael Currinder, called "Running Full Tilt". I absolutely loved the book and its unique take on sports. I also finished reading "Everything, Everything" by Nicola Yoon. I've been meaning to read this for a very long time- and I must say it was worth the wait! This has been my first non-review book in a while. I'm currently reading "Neighborhood Girls" by Jessie Anne Foley, another review book I received through Edelweiss.

I finished reading "I, Eliza Hamilton" by Susan Holloway Scott- a historical fiction I received through Edelweiss. The book doesn't come out till late September, so you'll have to wait awhile for my review. I also finished reading "Nothing" by Annie Barrows, another review book I received through Edelweiss. I didn't enjoy this book as much, but it got much better around the end. I am currently reading "Running Full Tilt by Michael Currinder- you guessed it- yet another review book! I finished reading " The Gallery of Unfinished Girls" by Lauren Karcz - a young adult book I received for review from HarperCollins through Edelweiss. I finished reading  "The Secret History of Us" by Jessi Kirbi - another YA book I received for review through Edelweiss. You can expect my review by 30th July 2017.  I'm (still) currently reading "I, Eliza Hamilton" by Susan Holloway Scott - a historical fiction about Alexander Hamilton's wife, another Edelweiss review copy. I know I missed last week's update, but I didn't really have much to share. I've decided however, to keep everyone updated regardless of how many books I've finished. I finished reading " Holding Up the Universe " by Jennifer Niven . Look out for a review- sometime in August! I have a lot of books to get through that I've been meaning to review but just haven't yet. They're all great books- so I really want to share them with you! I also finished reading " The Ready-Made Thief " by Augustus Rose . It's a thriller that I received through Edelweiss. You can expect this review on Wednesday (19th July). I am currently reading "I, Eliza Hamilton" by Susan Holloway Scott , another review copy from Edelweiss. This one is a historical fiction about the family of an American Founding Father. I had a decent reading week- and by decent I mean I finished two books. Not a great reading week, but hey- at least I finished a few books right? I finished reading, and uploaded my review of "Secret Sisters" by Joy Callaway. I absolutely loved this historical fiction about the formation of the first sorority. This was my first DRC (ever)! I also finished reading "See you in the Cosmos" by Jack Cheng. I haven't reviewed this one yet, and unfortunately I have a lot of reviews to get through before I get to it. Maybe I'll just bump it up on my list because I really enjoyed this one as well! I'm currently reading my second DRC, "The Readymade Thief" by Augustus Rose. It's an interesting concept, but I haven't made a lot of progress yet. Hopefully you guys made more reading progress this week than I did. I actually got a decent amount of reading in this week- because I was travelling by train, which gave me a lot of time to read (12 hours)! I'm linking up with Kathryn @ Book Date for this post- thanks for hosting every week! This week I finished reading " The Raven Boys " by Maggie Stiefvater . It's the first in the trilogy, and counts as one of my "Big Books" for the summer challenge. It's an interesting story, but I'm looking forward to the second book because I've heard that it's the best in the series. I also finished reading " Unbecoming" by Jenny Downham . This was also one of my Big Books this summer. I loved this story- it was written extremely well and presented great points of view. Another book I finished this week was "This is Where it Ends " by Marieke Nijkamp . I've been meaning to read this book for an extremely long time- and I'm so glad I finally did. Without further ado, let's get right into it! I finished reading "Back Home " by Michelle Magorian. I picked it up from the school library and enjoyed it much more than I enjoyed another Magorian novel "A Little Love Song" . The novel is about a young girl who was evacuated to the US during WWII who comes back to an unrecognizable Britain. I'm currently reading " Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe " by Benjamin Alire Saenz.   This book has been on my TBR for the longest time so I borrowed it from a friend of mine. I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm also currently reading "The Shock of the Fall" by Nathan Filer . Hey guys, I'm back with another reading update! I'm linking back up with Kathryn @ The Book Date for this weekly meme. This week I finished reading Nowhere Near You by Leah Thomas. Sequel to the amazing Because You'll Never Meet Me, I was expecting great things. It was great, but for some reason I found it quite hard to get through and it took me around two weeks to read! I also finished reading Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver. She's the author of the Delirium trilogy, which was definitely not on my favourites list, but I can say for sure that I enjoyed this book. It tells the story of a high-school senior who lives her last day alive 7 times. It's the perfect quick, yet deep read for a teen. I attended the Shakespeare Comedy Theater Festival in Delhi last weekend, and after watching Macbeth felt inspired to read it and understand the differences between the play I watched and the original. Snyder, the third book in the Chronicles of Ixia series. It's a fantasy series about a poison taster in a militarist society- where most people are content, who develops magical powers and discovers she is actually from the democratic enemy lands. I am currently reading "Nowhere Near You" by Leah Thomas. This is the second installation in the "Because You'll Never Meet Me" series. I read the first book last year, and was so shocked to discover that I haven't reviewed it yet. Look out for a review of both books coming soon I've decided to put aside "The Messenger" until I have more time to read- so probably until the summer vacations. This is a story about The Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland) before she was crowned the Queen. I loved the quirky characters and writing style of this book! Look out for a review next week! Hey guys! I know it's been a while since I've updated you all on my reading, but to be honest, I haven't really been reading much. The week of 6th March, I was away on a camping trip, so I didn't get in much reading at all. Last week however, was much better in terms of reading! I finished reading "Made You Up" by Francesca Zappia (look out for my review this week). This book is about a schizophrenic girl attempting to adjust to normal teen life when she stumbles upon a person she always thought was imaginary. I also finished "Poison Study" by Maria V Snyder , a young adult novel about a prisoner/poison taster in a militarist country. The series soon turns into a fantasy one. It's a series that you can go through in a month, as the language is colloquial and simple.   This week, I read "Magic Study" the second book in the "Chronicles of Ixia" by Maria V. Snyder . Hey guys, I'm back with another reading update. I'm linking to bookdate.blogspot.in today, because she is the original host of this meme. I've been participating in the Kid-Lit/Young Adult version of the meme, but considering I've had just general fiction and non-fiction reads this week, I'm participating in the regular version. I (finally) finished reading "The Hollow" by Agatha Christie. Although I've been hesitant about reviewing Christie novels in the past, you can definitely expect a review of this one! It's very different to all her other novels. I'm currently reading "Ice Station Zebra" by Alistair MacLean. I wasn't a fan of one of his other books, but this one seems to be slightly more interesting. I'm also currently reading "Smoke and Ashes: The Story of the Holocaust", by Barbara Rogasky. It is a non-fiction documentation of various aspects of The Holocaust. I picked it up from the school library...

Hey everyone, it's time for another weekly reading update, that's co-hosted by unleashingreaders.com and teachmentortexts.com . I'm afraid I don't have much to report this week. I'd picked up " Tess of the D'urbervilles" by Thomas Hardy last week, but unfortunately I'm returning the book to the library. It's written in English of the "yester years" as they say, and I find it too taxing to read. If I can't find another copy, I might issue the book for the summer holidays. I'm currently reading " The Hollow" by Agatha Christie . This novel is about a murder with a seemingly obvious suspect.... that's never how it turns out, is it? I'm looking forward to starting " Ice Station Zebra" by Allistair MacLean. I'd read another book of his which I didn't quite enjoy, but this one seems to have considerably better ratings and reviews.
