Don't Dare

Don't dare to move away Don't dare to stay in one place Don't dare to be the one Don't dare to be no one Don't dare to call out your fears Don't dare to remain silent Don't dare to help a friend Don't dare to watch again Don't dare to make a change Don't dare to sit on the side Don't dare to reject your friends Don't dare to stay alone -Poem Fanatic

It's been a while

I agree, That it's been a while It's been some time I know I believe That it'll all come back It's been some time I agree I understand It won't be as great Because it's been a while I know I assert The time has done me good That it's been some time I agree -Poem Fanatic

The Horrors

Dim, the lights flicker Dark, the lights are no longer Scuffles, something moves Shrieks, something dares her Breathing in, inhaling poison Breathing out, unable to let it go Close her eyes, the horrors sing Open them, the horrors dance Burning, her throat has retched Parched, yet it longs for more Lying, she needs to stretch Standing, she shall soon collapse Close her eyes, the horrors sing Open them, the horrors dance -Poem Fanatic

All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

Publication Date: May 6th 2014 Genre: Historical Fiction My Goodreads Rating: 5/5 Source:  Borrowed Hello Everyone! I'm back with a book review after a long time- but I promise this one was worth waiting for. I'll be reviewing Anthony Doerr's "All the Light We Cannot See" today, and trust me, just as soon as you read the book you'll understand why I love it so much.  Doerr's novel, set in the Second World War, revolves around the life of a blind French girl and an orphaned German Boy. Flitting through years and countries, Anthony Doerr depicts marvelously the struggles of life during a war, no matter which character he is writing about.

Among The Stars

As she lay among the stars She breathed the light of honesty She rid herself of deception She found herself in a pure world As she lay among the stars She made her commitment She made herself better She blossomed into being As she lay among the stars She guided the world She grew into a true human She cleared herself of fears But it was only, As she lay among the stars That these thoughts were the truth For when she lay upon the grass What she was among the stars Was a mere memory -Poem Fanatic

Saturday Snapshot-Dia de Los Muertos

Hey everyone, I'm back with another Saturday Snapshot*! Unfortunately, my mini-series on my trip to Turkey has come to an end. This week, I'll be sharing some pictures of traditional celebrations in Mexico that honour the dead on "Dia de Los Muertos". I lived there for a while, and was fortunate enough to be able to view and partake in  the festivities. * This meme is hosted by westmetromommyreads.com Decorative Urn

Craving in your heart

If there's too much There's pain in your mind If you don't have any There's a craving in your heart No matter how much you take No matter how little  There'll be a craving in your heart Whether it be to fulfill Or to complete By necessity Or because of that craving in your heart -Poem Fanatic

The path

There's an endless path Guiding your life It's never supposed to end When you have to walk in the forest On a path that doesn't exist Remind yourself You're helping to elongate The path you were once on There's an endless path Guiding your life It's never supposed to end One day you'll find That it's over And you'll be lost But when you journey on Remind yourself You're helping to elongate The path that you were once on
