The City

By the Crow's Eye, The city is a tiny, Urban area of destruction By the Peasant's Eye, The city is a large,  Urban area of opportunity  By the Tree's Eye, The city is a vast, Urban area of death By the resident's Eye, The city is a huge, Urban area of normality By the foreigner's Eye, The city is a massive, Urban area of pollution  The City is viewed, By the Eyes of Many, Not just the resident The city should be considered, By the Eyes of Many, Not just of the resident.  -Poem Fanatic

Life Without Summer by Lynne Griffin

Publication Date: April 14th 2009 Genre: Fiction, Grief My Goodreads Rating: 4/5 Source:  Own Copy  Hey Everyone! I don't know if you remember, but a while ago I mentioned that I'd like to review "Life Without Summer" by Lynne Griffin . I was scrolling through my posts today, and I realized that I never actually did! So without much ado, here I go!  Tessa Gray's life is ruined when she loses her young daughter, Abby, to a hit and run accident. As she struggles to get over her grief, she confides in Celia a therapist her family has encouraged her to see. Tessa's unfortunate situation is worsened by the incompetent police officers who claim that they will never be able to solve this case. As the story continues, more of Celia's broken family is revealed, and through the novel the readers develop a bond with both characters.

IMWAYR- 21/11/2016

Hey Everyone! It's time for another reading update! I think I made good progress on my reading this week, and am happy to say that I finished two books. IMWAYR is hosted by unleashingreaders.com and teachmentortexts.com

The Memories

Hello Everyone, I'm back with another poem. My intention while writing this poem was to subtly imply that memories are experiences, and it doesn't matter whether they're good ones or bad ones. They are a platform for education and awareness and shouldn't be hidden. I had hoped to question the common practice of hiding the embarrassing moments in one's life. You may not want to display them, but you don't have to delete them either. What do you think? Do you agree with my perspective or do you have one of your own? Memories: Store the beautiful, Ensure the ugly is hidden, But only from public view For the memories will always remain, As long as they are allowed Challenge the conscious, To delve deep into the subconscious To extract the painful, To merge with the joyous For the memories will behave, As they are instructed Do not fear the act of forgetting,  Cherish it with open arms,  Relive your memories While the memorie

I'm back with another IMWAYR* post- or a reading update. * This meme is hosted by unleashingreaders.com and teachmentortexts.com I finished reading "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown this week. I'd started the series backwards, and I finally borrowed this book from a friend to complete the series. The series is about a Harvard symbology professor who uses his talent to solve mysteries. You could wait for my review of this book, or check out my review of Inferno here.  I also finished reading "Pretty Little Liars" by Sara Shepard. It's not a book that I wanted to read, but I was in a reading slump, and wanted a quick light read. The book was okay, but I wouldn't recommend it to any of you. I am currently reading "This Adventure Ends" by Emma Miller. It's about a young girl who forms strong bonds with a popular girl and her twin. I'm liking it so far, but I'm not sure if I'll love it at the end. What hav
