IMWAYR-13/02/2017

Hey guys, I'm back with another reading update. I'm linking to bookdate.blogspot.in today, because she is the original host of this meme. I've been participating in the Kid-Lit/Young Adult version of the meme, but considering I've had just general fiction and non-fiction reads this week, I'm participating in the regular version.

I (finally) finished reading "The Hollow" by Agatha Christie. Although I've been hesitant about reviewing Christie novels in the past, you can definitely expect a review of this one! It's very different to all her other novels.

I'm currently reading "Ice Station Zebra" by Alistair MacLean. I wasn't a fan of one of his other books, but this one seems to be slightly more interesting.

I'm also currently reading "Smoke and Ashes: The Story of the Holocaust", by Barbara Rogasky. It is a non-fiction documentation of various aspects of The Holocaust. I picked it up from the school library, because we're studying about this topic in History.

What have you been reading this week?

Comments

  1. I recently listened to The Hollow as an audio book and thoroughly enjoyed the psychological aspects of it. It really is very light on mystery and the crime-solving could be fitted into a short story, but the interactions between the characters and their relationships with each other made it thoroughly enjoyable.

I read Ice Station Zebra as a teenager and seem to recall it was quite suspenseful, but can't remember much about. If you like it, you might enjoy the movie.

    1. I'm surprised to hear that most people haven't heard of this book- on the other hand though, neither had I!

  3. I read most of Alistair McLean's books many years ago and remember enjoying most of them. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
