Hey guys! Last week, I finished my series about my trip to the UK in 2009. This week, as I usually do in between series, I'll be sharing a post about a short trip. This was a trip we took to Valle de Bravo (Mexico) also in 2009, when we were living in Mexico City. Here are some pictures of the Monarch Butterflies we saw there:

How lovely (and sad, because they are dead). I've visited Mexico once, but would love to go again. Both sides of my family have relatives there that I would love to meet someday.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, a lot of the butterflies were dead- most of the ground was full of broken wings and resting butterflies. It was hard to tell which ones were dead and which ones were alive!
DeleteI hope you get to visit Mexico sometime soon!
Thank you!
DeleteSuch a rich profusion of butterflies! What a joy for you to visit there and see this sight.

It really was a joy! Thanks for stopping by Deb!
DeleteI love Monarch butterflies, and you captured them beautifully. Thanks for sharing, and here are MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOTS
ReplyDeleteMonarch butterflies always remind me of an autumn forest!
DeleteI've been to Tulum in Mexico, and Cancun, but that is it. We talk about the monarch butterflies here because of their migration through the states to Mexico, so your post was very neat to see! Beautiful pictures as usual!
ReplyDeleteTulum and Cancun are both beautiful places as well! We only took one trip when we lived in Mexico- and I'm starting to regret it!
DeleteLovely photos! I adore butterflies :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great rest of your weekend!
