Hey Guys! It's time for another Saturday Snapshot*! Last Week, I got to attend a wedding in Kolkatta (India), and participate in all the traditional customs. One of those customs involves applying Mehndi, or Henna to all the girls hands. This week, I'm sharing some pictures of the ceremony with you.

DeleteSuch amazingly intricate designs! Is there a certain significance or history to this custom? How long does the design last before fading? I'm curious.

The pattern lasts clearly for 3-4 days. After it starts to fade, it can stay for another week or so. I applied the henna on the 8th of December. It's the Eighteenth today and it's still on my hands!
