Hey everyone! I'm back with my weekly reading update. This meme is co-hosted by teachmentortexts.com and unleashingreaders.com. Let's diver right in, shall we?
I finished reading "Taken at the Flood" by Agatha Christie. This crime/homicide novel revolves around bigamy and inheritance. It's definitely not my favorite Christie book, but I recommend it for anyone who's looking for a break from deep reads.
I also finished reading"Night Road" by Kristin Hannah. A story about friendship, love, crime, and family, this Young Adult Novel is truly spectacular. If you're undecided about this book, look out for my review of this book, which I should post sometime this week.
I am currently reading "Traitors in the Shadows" by Alex Rutherford, the last book in the Empire of the Moghul series. I took a break from the series after finishing the book about Shah Jahan, because the books were taking me a while to read, and they were quite heavy. I needed to catch up on my Goodreads Challenge, so I decided to cross some more books off my to-read list.
As for my Goodreads Challenge, I have read 76 books so far this year. I am aiming for a total of a 100, but I'm five books behind. I'm hoping to finish Traitors in the Shadows by tomorrow so I can move forward at least by a little bit, and then pick up a quick read on the Kindle.

Empire of the Moghul sounds like a series that some of our patrons might be interested in. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou really should. If you're interested, you could check out some of my reviews on the books as well. I had a better understanding of the books because I'm Indian, and we learned about the era in History, but I think it's a great read anyway.
DeleteThanks for stopping by and Happy Reading!
Oooh, that's an Agatha Christie novel I haven't read before, and I burned through them like a fiend in high school. On to my list, even if it isn't her best, just for old time's sake!
ReplyDeleteI was craving a Christie novel when I picked it up.... I think you'll be satisfied with it.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
I haven't read an Agatha Christie novel in many years, but I used to love them! I should try one again.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize Kristin Hannah had written any YA - I love her adult novels so will have to check this one out.
Enjoy your books this week!

Book By Book
Well technically this is an adult novel but I've heard that it's not as "Adult" as some of her other ones... so I self-categorized it as YA.
DeleteThanks for stopping by Sue!
Night Road looks like my kind of read. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy it!
DeleteThanks for stopping by Myra, have a great day ahead of you!
